Registration Info

What are the Parish responsibilities and the registration fee?

The cost for Work Camp for each teen Student Participant and Crew Leader (adult chaperone) is $325.00. Contractors attend Work Camp free of charge.

Please note that for every 5 Student Participants there must also be:
  • 1 adult Crew Leader who has the primary responsibility of the student participants at the work site (21 and older, VIRTUS certified with driver’s clearance)
  •  1 Contractor who organizes the work at the site to complete the job effectively and safely. (21 and older, VIRTUS certified)
  • 1 seven passenger vehicle which is used to transport work campers all week long.

What does this registration fee cover?

Work Camp is not in the business of making money, but it is expensive to put on a project of this size.  The largest portion of the registration fee covers the cost of materials necessary to complete the work projects, which are significant home improvement projects that require substantial material. The registration fee also pays for lodging and meals (Sunday dinner – Friday breakfast) and the use of camp facilities, and the costs for the evening programs for all participants. Most groups choose to do some sort of fundraising to offset participant costs.
